Frequently Asked

Before You Book

Do I need a referral?
No. In Ontario, you can see a chiropractor directly without a physician referral.
How long is the first visit?
Plan for 45–60 minutes. That gives time for a thorough history, full assessment, initial treatment, and an honest conversation about the plan.
Is chiropractic care covered by insurance?
Most extended health benefit plans in Ontario cover chiropractic care. Receipts are provided after each visit for direct submission to your insurer.
Will I be "cracked" on the first visit?
Not necessarily. Joint manipulation is one tool among many. Whether it's used depends on your assessment, preferences, and what the evidence supports for your specific presentation. You'll never be treated with anything you haven't consented to.
How is this different from other chiropractors?
The focus is rehabilitation-first. Hands-on care is integrated with exercise rehab so the changes hold. Care is guided by current best evidence (Cochrane, JOSPT, BJSM), not just what was learned in school.
What conditions do you treat?
See the Conditions page for the full list — back, neck, shoulder, knee, hip, foot/ankle, sciatica, sports injuries, concussion, and post-surgical rehab, broken down by specific clinical diagnosis.
Do you work with athletes and teams?
Yes. I serve as chiropractor for Tecumseh United Football Club and work with athletes across hockey, soccer, running, golf, and gym populations. See the About page for team-coverage detail.
